Shipping Updates, Notes, and Other Pertinent Information!

First things first, everyone from both Kickstarter and our Backerkit pre-order should have their items either delivered or in transit at this time.  All Smalljoes pre-orders that came after, have also shipped.  If you have not gotten a shipping notice in Backerkit, then you need to contact us.  At the moment, there are 2 people that I know of, and one order that was returned due to expiration of forwarding information from the USPS.  

Also:  after much discussion and consternation, we have put together a temporary policy regarding breakages.  Most of the items we have sent out have not had an issue, but a very small (but not unexpected) handful have and those need to be addressed in a reasonable manner.

To that end, there will be two options for you as a customer:

You can return the limb that requires repair for free.  You only need to pay sending postage, and I will cover all other expenses (replacement part, return postage).  To exercise this option, simply contact me via IM or email and I will give you an address to ship to and will turn around the part as quickly as possible, although it will most likely take a couple of weeks.  Pack the entire limb in a small zip bag with a scrap of paper that has your return address on it, and drop it in a padded mailer to the address which will be provided through private communication.

You can also return the entire figure and all of it's accessories and broken part to me for refund.  This will allow you to purchase a replacement direct from Smalljoes who has the bulk of the inventory.  The process for this is similar to repair, in that you would need to pack all the contents (figure, all accs and broken part) in a small zip bag, add a scrap of paper with your name and a good email for Paypal, and drop that in the mail to me in a padded mailer to an address provided through private communication.  You will get back a refund for the purchase price of your original order, whether it be from KS or the BK preorders, as those prices vary slightly.  The returned item must be 100% complete to get this refund, as I am attempting to build a morgue of extra parts to help out with exchanges in the future.

Finally, and this is IMPORTANT:  returns for refund will be accepted through the end of this month for domestic KS/BK orders, and the 10th of August for the International KS/BK orders.  This should be plenty of time for anything in transit to arrive and for the customers to check out any potential problems. If there is something obviously wrong before opening a package, take a photo and be prepared to provide it.  After this time, this offer will end.  

Once I have a morgue of body parts put together, any future swaps that need to be made will be easier.  It's important for that reason that all returns be complete and the reason for that policy.  Paul and I want VERY much to make sure everyone is happy, but we can only go so far and be fiscally responsible for the immediate future of the company.  We hope that you all understand.

The time is here. According to the information I have, the factory is most likely going to schedule pickup of our shipment around Wednesday of next week. They expect to be done with packaging on Tuesday.

This means that we are about to lock in the addresses, so you will need to log into Backerkit and update your shipping information if you need to. It's a good idea to double check anyway.  We will be locking those in place in about a week.

Due to the impending tariffs scheduled for the end of the month, we opted to pay for Air Freight shipping from China, so the up side of that is that fulfillment should begin in about 3 to 4 weeks instead of 8 weeks. The down side is the additional $7,000 it's going to cost (above our original shipping budget) to keep out from under the potential 25% tariff. It's a crappy situation, but it was spend the additional $7K to avoid potentially $50K+.

I'll be ordering the t-shirts/stickers in the next few days so that hopefully we'll have them on hand to ship out with the orders once they arrive. If not, we'll let you know and make other arrangements.  You can always find all recent updates and photos on the Facebook page.

Added about 85 new images

Just added 85 new images to the Facebook KS page album of production stills.  The factory is packing up and will be prepping for shipment the Boot Hill Loot Gear & Accessory sets, along with the Buck-A-Roos blanks this week.  They are finalizing a couple of paint details before finishing up on the figures and then will be assembling and packaging those items for shipment.  We expect at least 2 to 3 more weeks before the shipment will be ready to board a freighter and head this way. 

Once in transit, shipment can take anywhere from 45 to 60 days, and we expect another 30 on top of that to inventory and start fulfilling all Kickstarter, and then Backerkit orders.  Orders will be combined wherever possible and shipping credits (and in some extreme cases refunds) will be issued at that time.  Coordinating that operation will be difficult, but we are committed to it.

Thank you for the support you have shown, and keep an eye open for a shipping address update in your email to be coming as soon as we know the shipment is headed this way from China.  Look for our Kickstarter 1.5 later this year around mid-late September for the horses, 5 remaining figures from KS 1, 3 new figures, a new KS exclusive figure, two 2 packs, several new Buck-A-Roos & Boot Hill Loot sets, and the Stagecoach again!  Start saving your pennies now.

A big shout out to the very talented Stephen Hayford - Plastics for his stellar work on a couple of new promotional images for the CFT-DNL lineup. I've used the low-res image of one photo for the page header and we will roll out the hi-res versions this weekend.

These will be available as prints later this year, and depending on how well those move along, we will have more shots done and perhaps a calendar, playing cards, or other other fun stuff. Keep your eyes peeled on the Facebook page.

Here are some of the recent images from the Facebook group that are coming in during the production run for the figures.  These are all random recent shots, and a more detailed explanation is available on Facebook for those who need some words with their pics.  Not much longer now.  We will have an official date ready once these are about to go on the water shortly, and new pre-orders will be opened back up for those who missed out on the KS.
